Our Story

It all started with a 'tweet' in the summer of 2009. Separately, we had been attending QFest, the Philadelphia Gay &amp; Lesbian Film Festival, and sharing our opinions of films on Twitter. An enigmatic ending to a French film got the conversation going.

Getting to Denver

Denver is accessible by car from I-70 or I-25, by train on Amtrak, and by plane on several carriers to Denver International Airport (DEN). Note that the airport is a fair distance from downtown Denver at 23 miles. Car shares and taxis can be pricey. The A-Line train runs from the airport to Denver Union Station and takes 37 minutes for $10.

The Clyfford Still Museum in Denver is a favorite of ours. The museum is dedicated to the works of a single artist, the abstract expressionist Clyfford Still. When he died in 1980 his will stipulated that his works were to go to an American city that would establish a museum dedicated to his works alone. Denver won the bid and the building was designed by Allied Works Architecture. We've always loved the complement of Still's large color block canvases with the open spaces and clean lines of the light-filled building. The entire museum will be at our disposal during our ceremony and reception. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!
