The Clyfford Still Museum in Denver is a favorite of ours. The museum is dedicated to the works of a single artist, the abstract expressionist Clyfford Still. When he died in 1980 his will stipulated that his works were to go to an American city that would establish a museum dedicated to his works alone. Denver won the bid and the building was designed by Allied Works Architecture. We've always loved the complement of Still's large color block canvases with the open spaces and clean lines of the light-filled building.
